About the Project

Full Online Ordering & Managed POS Infrastructure Deployment

Doza Rizen Cafe required a robust and highly reliable website and online ordering system capable of supporting a large, complex menu while integrating seamlessly with in-store operations. The solution was architected with a focus on accuracy, throughput, and operational stability — ensuring online orders move directly from customer to kitchen without manual intervention.

The platform includes a fully integrated digital menu containing 208 individual menu items and 348 structured modifiers. Each item is configured to allow precise customization — ingredient removal, add-ons, side selections, beverage pairings, and preparation options — while maintaining a clean, intuitive user experience. The result is flexibility without cognitive overload.

Operational Infrastructure

To ensure consistent order fulfillment, two dedicated on-premises Point of Sale interfaces were deployed:

  • Front of House cashier station

  • Kitchen production station

Online Orders automatically route to dedicated Epson TM-M30III receipt printers in both locations, ensuring immediate, location-specific visibility and eliminating verbal relay or handwritten ticket risks.

All Online Ordering Point of Sale (POS) iPads were provisioned using Apple Business Manager (ABM) and managed through Microsoft Intune, enabling full device supervision, centralized policy control, rapid replacement capability, and long-term serviceability. Device interaction is intentionally restricted to the POS environment to minimize misconfiguration risk during peak service periods.

Network Architecture & Reliability

A dedicated intranet and Wi-Fi environment was deployed exclusively for Online Ordering Point of Sale (POS) devices using a separate Eero router, fully isolated from:

  • The In-Store POS network

  • Guest Wi-Fi traffic

  • Administrative systems

This network segmentation:

  • Prevents bandwidth contention

  • Improves operational reliability

  • Enables remote monitoring and troubleshooting

  • Reduces the need for on-site service calls

The system was designed for stability first — ensuring predictable performance even during high-volume periods.

Results

Since launching on February 9, 2026:

  • $1,020 in online sales within the first 7 days

  • $1,360+ in online sales within the first 10 days

  • 37 total online orders

  • $36.79 average order value (AOV)

  • 624 site sessions within the first 11 days

Despite supporting over 550 structured menu components, the system generated $1,020 in online sales within the first 7 days and surpassed $1,360 within the first 10 days of launch.

The launch exceeded projections and demonstrates how properly engineered online ordering infrastructure — beyond basic website design — directly drives measurable restaurant revenue performance.
