Boyleston Lodge No. 123

Boyleston Masonic Lodge No. 123’s previous website was built using legacy Web 1.0 HTML code, making even simple updates time-consuming, error-prone, and dependent on manual coding. To address this, the website was completely redesigned and rebuilt on the Wix platform with extensive Content Management System (CMS) integration, representing a major technological and operational leap forward for the Masonic Lodge.

The new website was designed to balance historical preservation with modern usability. CMS-driven systems were implemented to allow for quick, accurate updates while maintaining detailed historical records, including:

• A dynamically managed Lodge Officers section, complete with a rolling historical archive of all Previous Lodge Officers dating back to 2022.

• An extensive Past Masters page showcasing names and photos of Boyleston Lodge’s Past Masters, dating back to 1867.

• A dedicated In Memoriam page honoring members who have passed to “the Celestial Lodge above”.

• A Photo Gallery showcasing various events that took place in the Lodge.

• A Photo Upload Form which allows Members and Masons around the world who attended the events at the Lodge to submit photos of their memories for use on the website.

In addition to preserving the Lodge’s history, the website was built to support active communication and engagement. An easy-to-use Blog system was implemented to publish the Lodge’s Trestle Board Newsletter without requiring any HTML coding, allowing content to be posted quickly and consistently. 

A comprehensive Events system was also integrated, providing clear visibility into upcoming Degree Work, Business Meetings, Fundraisers, Adopt-A-Highway Cleanups, and other special events—keeping Masons throughout South Carolina and beyond informed and engaged.

The result is a modern, scalable website that significantly reduces maintenance effort, ensures accuracy, and allows Boyleston Lodge No. 123 to focus on fellowship, service, and tradition — rather than website upkeep.
